Aim of study: Despite protection by international agreements, millions orchid tubers are harvested from their natural distribution areas each year. Of these species, Himantoglossum robertianum is locally threatened due to overharvesting and requires precautionary measures ensure its protection. Reproduction the species in an asymbiotic environment imperative for providing ex-situ There no studies on optimum germination temperature H. robertianum. This study aimed germinate seeds in-vitro under conditions. Area The was carried out at Silviculture Laboratories Bursa Technical University, Faculty Forestry, Department Forestry Engineering. Material methods: were used study. Seeds germinated five replications four different temperatures (10, 15, 20, 25°C (± 0.5°C). conducted 275 days dark conditions with Sıgma-Phytamax P-6668 as medium. Main results: highest 23.8% 20°C not obtained 10°C. While faster first 18 weeks, accelerated after weeks. Highlights: These results indicate that important factor robertainum seeds.
